Most of Southcentral is playing nice this morning. The bad news? A few construction zones are still auditioning for the lead role in your weekend drive. 🦺
🟢 Daily Verdict: A Good Morning Drive With Wetter Roads Later
- Roads: Mostly favorable driving conditions this morning. No major statewide incidents or emergency closures affecting Southcentral travel have been reported. Construction zones remain active on several highways.
- Traffic: Light overall. Expect slower travel through established construction areas, particularly on the Glenn, Seward, and Sterling highways.
- Sky: Mostly dry through much of the morning for Anchorage and the Mat-Su, with increasing clouds this afternoon. Rain develops later today for portions of the Kenai Peninsula. Aurora viewing tonight will be limited by increasing cloud cover despite generally quiet geomagnetic conditions.
