UPDATE
Anchorage police say the man accused in a deadly Airport Heights shooting has been found dead.
Investigators confirmed that 61-year-old Mathew Thomas Becker was located around 10:24 a.m. Sunday in a wooded area of Eagle River while officers were actively searching for him.

Becker had been identified as the suspect in the killing of 87-year-old Romaine Clark, who was found shot inside a home on Alder Drive. Police say the shooting happened Saturday after Becker allegedly targeted his ex-wife earlier that morning at her Anchorage hair salon.
According to investigators, the woman was able to escape and call police. During that call she told officers she feared for her father, prompting officers to check the residence where Clark was later discovered dead.

Becker had been described by police as armed and dangerous as the search intensified across Anchorage and Eagle River. The Alaska State Medical Examiner will determine Becker’s cause and manner of death. The homicide investigation into Clark’s death remains active.
