FBI Director Kash Patel said agents are reviewing the background of the individual involved and coordinating with partner agencies.

“We will be examining this individual’s background thoroughly, that process has already started. We are going to ensure he was either a lone wolf actor or anyone else that was responsible, we will analyze all evidence immediately to make sure that we safeguard this country.”

Law enforcement said Allen was taken into custody at the scene after being subdued during the shooting.
