ANCHORAGE, Alaska – Workers are hustling under the iconic Anchorage Mushing District arch at 4th Avenue and D Street this evening, erecting banners, sponsor signs, and lighting for the Fur Rondy festival and tomorrow’s Iditarod Trail Sled Dog Race ceremonial start.

Live from the Borealis Broadband cam, bucket trucks tower over the snowy intersection as crews finalize the chute where mushers and sleds will line up Saturday morning.
The “Last Great Race on Earth” kicks off at 10 a.m. sharp, with teams departing every three minutes on the 11-mile urban route through Anchorage, part of Fur Rondy festivities running through March 8.
