Memaw says, “if love is confusing, itâs not love. Itâs a group project you didnât sign up for.” đ

đľ Listen up, sugar.
Valentineâs Day ainât about roses, diamonds, or whether someone remembered to spell your name right on a card. Itâs about one simple thing:
đ Did they treat you right on February 13th?
đ And, will they still treat you right on February 15th?

Because anybody can panic-buy chocolate. Character takes consistency.
Now if youâre coupled up:
If they only sparkle when Hallmark says so, thatâs not a soulmate. Thatâs holiday lighting with a timer.
If youâre single:
Congratulations. You are not arguing over dinner reservations tonight. That is freedom, darling. Use it wisely. Order what you want. Wear what you want. Eat the chocolate you bought yourself without sharing.
If youâre in a âsituationshipâ:
Baby. If it doesnât have a label, it doesnât get a gift.
Memaw also wants you to remember:
⢠Love is sweet, love is kind, but self-respect is sweeter.
⢠If they stress you more than they bless you, thatâs not Cupid. Thatâs a warning label.
⢠You do not need a Valentine to validate you. You need good boundaries and a decent skincare routine.
Whether youâre married, dating, divorced, widowed, talking, ghosted, or just minding your business with snacks and a streaming subscription, you deserve joy that doesnât require guessing games.
đď¸ So today:
Text the friend.
Call your mama.
Compliment yourself.
Buy the good dessert.
Forgive who you need to.
And, if someone hands you nonsense wrapped in red ribbon, hand it right back.
đ Memaw loves love.
đ But, Memaw loves standards more.
Happy Valentineâs Day, sugar. đ
