Help Keep Nuna and Fox’s Next Adventure Moving

A small fox. A fierce friendship. A story worth carrying forward. Nuna embraces her Arctic companion in this promotional image for Never Alone 2, selected for The MIX Fall Online Showcase.

Never Alone 2 has a new gameplay trailer. Here’s how players, Alaska businesses and potential partners can support its next chapter.

Nuna and Fox are back, and Alaska has an opportunity to help their story reach more people.

Never Alone 2 debuted its first gameplay trailer during The MIX Fall Online Showcase on October 16. The sequel brings the beloved characters into a three-dimensional Arctic adventure developed through collaboration with the Alaska Native community. As of October 20, 2026, its release date remains unannounced. ign

A Story Worth Supporting

The original Never Alone grew from a partnership involving Cook Inlet Tribal Council and E-Line Media, combining game development with Iñupiaq storytelling and cultural knowledge. According to its official website, the game has reached more than 15 million players worldwide and earned BAFTA and Peabody recognition.

Nuna and Fox face the Arctic together in the original Never Alone poster, a reminder that courage grows through connection and stories carry strength across generations.

The sequel continues that collaborative approach with an original story by Iñupiaq writer Nasugraq Rainey Hopson. Developed with the Alaska Native community, Never Alone 2 builds on the idea of creating games with the people whose culture shapes them, not simply about them.

How Individuals Can Help

  • Wishlist the sequel. Visit Never Alone 2 on Steam and add it to your wishlist. This is an action the game’s official website encourages, although it does not directly fund development. neveralonegame
  • Share the new trailer. Give friends, gaming groups and community organizations a look at the project through the October 16 gameplay trailer. ign
  • Introduce someone to the original. Find the first game through the official Never Alone website. Purchasing it supports the existing product, but there is no verified commitment that those proceeds are earmarked for the sequel. neveralonegame
  • Ask about educational use. Schools, libraries, museums and youth programs can contact E-Line about appropriate uses of its existing games. The company’s published guidance welcomes educational and museum inquiries. src.www.elinemedia

How Companies and Corporations Could Help

Alaska Native corporations, local businesses and gaming-industry partners can start by asking E-Line what support is actually needed.

Potential proposals could include development investment, publishing assistance, an authorized sponsorship or educational access to the original game. These are possibilities to discuss, not announced Never Alone 2 funding programs.

Any agreement should spell out its purpose, financial terms and protections for Alaska Native participation and cultural decision-making. An investment, sponsorship, game purchase and charitable donation are different arrangements.

The official materials reviewed did not identify a public donation campaign for the sequel. Before contributing money, confirm the opportunity directly with the team.

For an initial inquiry, email support@neveralonegame.com and ask to be connected with the appropriate business contact. Reporters can reach E-Line through its published media address, press@elinemedia.com. Neither address is a donation portal. src.www.elinemedia

For players, the immediate step is simple: wishlist, watch and share. For organizations with resources to offer, ask the team what would make a meaningful difference.

The next chapter belongs to Nuna and Fox, but helping it reach the world is something Alaska can do together.
