✅ UPDATE 4:15pm: The Anchorage Police Department says normal traffic can now resume around the 8000 block of Pluto Drive.

Police have not released additional details about the incident but thanked the public for its cooperation.

ANCHORAGE, Alaska, 12:41pm – Anchorage police are asking the public to avoid the area around the 8000 block of Pluto Drive as officers respond to an ongoing incident.

A Google Maps locator highlights the 8000 block of Pluto Drive in Anchorage, where police asked the public Monday to avoid the area because of an ongoing law enforcement response.

Authorities have not released details about what prompted the response, and no road closures have been announced.

Drivers and residents are encouraged to use alternate routes and follow directions from officers in the area.
