Anchorage police confirms Sunday morning that 26-year-old Darlene Martin has been found safe, ending an urgent community-wide search that began Friday.

Update (March 29, 9:23 a.m.): APD issued a “CANCEL LOCATE” alert, thanking the public for assistance in spreading awareness. NCIC data shows the vast majority of missing person reports—over 82% of more than 500,000 annual U.S. entries—are resolved quickly, often due to public tips and vigilance.

Original Details: Martin was last seen at 8:00 a.m. on March 27 near the 3900 block of Turnagain Blvd, wearing an orange shirt, black pants, and black-and-green jacket. Heightened concern stemmed from mental health issues (APD Case: 26-9084).

ANCHORAGE, Alaska (March 28, 2026) – Family, friends, and Anchorage police are asking for help locating 26-year-old Darlene Martin, who hasn’t been seen since Friday morning, March 27, around 8:00 a.m. near the 3900 block of Turnagain Blvd.

Darlene is 5’3”, about 122 pounds, with short black hair and brown eyes. She was last seen wearing an orange shirt, black pants, and a black and green jacket.

Police say there’s growing concern for Darlene’s wellbeing due to mental health challenges, and they’re urging anyone who might have seen her, or knows where she might be, to speak up. Even the smallest piece of information could help bring her home safely.
