APD Seeks Help Identifying Electric Dirt Bike Riders

Anchorage police are asking the public to help identify two people accused of riding electric dirt bikes dangerously on public roads and sidewalks Sunday afternoon.

Officers responded around 3:22 p.m. Aug. 10 to reports from multiple complainants near Huffman Road and Old Seward Highway. Police located two riders operating electric dirt bikes illegally on the sidewalk near the intersection.

When an officer directed them to stop, both riders allegedly fled southbound along the Old Seward sidewalk at a high rate of speed.

Anyone who recognizes the individuals or witnessed the incident and has not spoken with police is asked to contact Sgt. David Noll at david.noll@anchorageak.gov.
