The FBI is offering a reward of up to $50,000 for information leading to the recovery of Nancy Guthrie and or the arrest and conviction of anyone responsible for her disappearance, according to federal authorities involved in the case. The reward was confirmed by an FBI agent assigned to the investigation and is intended to spur new leads as the search enters a critical phase.
In addition, Pima County’s 88-Crime program is offering a separate reward of up to $2,500 for information that leads to an arrest.
What Happened to Nancy Guthrie
Nancy Guthrie, 84, the mother of Today show co-host Savannah Guthrie, disappeared from her home in the Tucson area in the early hours of Sunday, February 1, 2026. Concern was raised when she failed to attend church later that morning, something family members say was completely out of character.

Investigators believe Nancy was taken from her home against her will. Her residence has been treated as a crime scene, and law enforcement has cited evidence indicating possible forced entry. Due to her age, limited mobility, and medical needs, authorities say it is highly unlikely she left on her own.
Current Status of the Investigation

As of now, no suspects or arrests have been publicly identified. Authorities continue to analyze physical evidence, digital data, and tips from the public. Reports of possible ransom communications are under investigation, though officials have not confirmed their authenticity.
Nancy’s family has made repeated public appeals for her safe return, urging anyone with information to come forward. Support for the family has poured in nationwide, with law enforcement stressing that even seemingly small details could be crucial.
