💅 Well sugar, Old Memaw’s been watchin’ the weather folks up at NOAA and Weather.gov say you ain’t just drivin’ in snow tomorrow eve. They’ve put up a Winter Weather Advisory for our patch with mixed precip, inching rain and snow, gusty winds, ice and all the fun that makes you wonder why you didn’t just stay in bed. Expect slick roads likely into Friday morning too. Buckle up and heed this warning. 🚗
🌲 Parks Highway

| Time of Day | Hi/Lo Temperatures | Driving Tips |
|---|---|---|
| Morning | 14°F to 32°F | Roads likely slick from overnight snow patches. Take it slow and give extra space. |
| Afternoon | 32°F to 36°F | Temps near freeze and thaw’ll make slush. Keep eyes on windshield and slow down. |
| Evening | 30°F to 35°F | Advisory kicks in and ice could form fast. Think about stayin’ home early if you can. |
🛣️ Glenn Highway

| Time of Day | Hi/Lo Temperatures | Driving Tips |
|---|---|---|
| Morning | 14°F to 32°F | Some snow still on the ground. Ice loves to hide so watch for shiny spots. |
| Afternoon | 32°F to 36°F | Warm enough to rain on frozen roads. That’s slick city right there. |
| Evening | 30°F to 35°F | Mixed precip likely. Slow, steady, and eyes peeled is the Memaw way. |
🚗 Seward Highway

| Time of Day | Hi/Lo Temperatures | Driving Tips |
|---|---|---|
| Morning | 21°F to 26°F | Snow around and roads cold. Studded tires make Memaw proud of ya. |
| Afternoon | 26°F to 36°F | Snow with blowing snow then mix near valley. Keep distance and slow. |
| Evening | 35°F | Rain mixing with snow makes slick black ice once temps drop. |
🛤️ Sterling Highway: Homer

Sterling Hwy & Main St – Homer | Alaska 511
| Time of Day | Hi/Lo Temperatures | Driving Tips |
|---|---|---|
| Morning | 5°F to 13°F | Bitter cold start. Black ice is sneaky so ease off the gas. |
| Afternoon | 13°F to 33°F | Snow then wintry mix. Roads will be messy and slow is still best. |
| Evening | 31°F | Mix with rain possible, then refreeze. If you don’t gotta go, don’t. |
Memaw’s Two Cents:
This ain’t no ordinary cold snap. NOAA-sized weather’s comin’ through with rain on snow and icy roads that’ll make your teeth chatter and your knuckles white. If you can put off travel Thursday evening or Friday morning, do it. If not, leave early, go slow, and don’t rush. Put on those cozy socks, check your tires, and bring extra patience with ya. Protective gear in the car never hurt either. Stay safe out there. 👵
