Good morning, sugar. Yesterday’s big snow packed things down, and now Mother Nature is adding a glossy topcoat, especially to Knik Goose Bay Road. The National Weather Service says light snow and patchy freezing rain are possible through this morning, especially across the Lower Matanuska Valley. Even a light glaze can turn roads into a slip n slide situation. Conditions trend drier toward Cook Inlet, but slick spots remain likely. Slow it down, give yourself time, and check Alaska 511 before you roll. Take a look at the weather map below to see exactly where the ice threat is highest today.

☕️ If it looks wet, assume it’s icy. If it looks icy, it probably is. This is not the day to hurry, multitask, or test your tires. Take it easy, hon. The coffee will still be there when you arrive.
