💅 Honey, if Jack Frost had a resume he’d put Southcentral Alaska on the cover page today: Brutal temps hanging out. Sun up late, sun down early. Ice gripping roads, railings, and anything that sits still. Anchorage itself is forecast to struggle to double-digit highs, staying in single figures above zero in most of the region. Expect a high near 11°F and a low dipping to around −10°F tonight under mostly clear skies. These are the kind of temps that separate strong batteries from dead ones.
🛣️ Road conditions? The Alaska 511 system shows no statewide alerts on major highway closures right now, but that doesn’t mean slick, glazed, snow-packed surfaces aren’t lurking around every bend. Check 511.alaska.gov before you roll.
🌌 Aurora watchers, if skies stay clear, there’s always a chance the curtain will dance tonight. But, in early March that depends on geomagnetic conditions and a little luck.

👵 Memaw’s Parting Words
This Arctic blast is no joke, hon. Treat the roads like they’re lying in wait for careless drivers. Dress like you mean it, drive like you love your life, and give yourself extra time just to breathe between points A and B. If your gut says slow down, listen to it. Pride does not keep you out of a ditch.💖
