Bringing Alaska to Manhattan: Holland America Line’s Majestic Parade Float Debut

Celebrating 80 Years of Alaska Exploration in the Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade

This November, the magic and wilderness of Alaska will take center stage in New York City’s iconic Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade, courtesy of Holland America Line’s spectacular debut float. Marking nearly 80 years of cruising and exploring The Last Frontier, Holland America Line is honoring Alaska’s grandeur with the largest kinetic sculpture in parade history.

The float promises a breathtaking showcase of Alaska’s stunning glaciers, diverse wildlife, and the serene beauty of Denali National Park, all dynamically brought to life with animated sculptural elements—something never before seen on the parade route. As it journeys down the 2.5-mile parade path before arriving at the famous Macy’s Herald Square, spectators can expect a visual feast that captures the spirit of Alaska’s untamed wilderness.
