ANCHORAGE — Anchorage police responded to a tense early‑morning incident on Christmas Day after a patrol officer reported shots fired at them while passing a residence in the 1400 block of West 34th Avenue.

The incident occurred December 25, 2025, at approximately 5:41 a.m., according to an official press release from the Anchorage Police Department (APD). Multiple units quickly responded, and APD SWAT was activated to assist in locating a subject believed to be armed.
During the operation, officers discovered multiple individuals inside the residence. Law enforcement issued repeated commands and employed a variety of tactics, including drones and K‑9 units, to ensure the situation was resolved safely.
The standoff concluded without injuries, and six people were arrested on various charges, including outstanding warrants. The APD has listed the case under #25‑039548.
