The Seward Highway is closed between Rabbit Creek Rifle Range and Potter Valley Road following a vehicle collision, according to Anchorage Police. Drivers should expect delays and use alternate routes while responders work the scene. No estimated reopening time has been announced.

The closure is affecting one of Anchorage’s busiest commuter corridors, where even a single crash can create immediate backups. Collisions on this stretch are often tied to speeding, distracted driving, tailgating, impaired driving, and rapidly changing road conditions.
Anchorage Police have not yet released further details about the crash. This is a developing situation, and updates are expected as the scene is cleared and investigators continue their work.
