Well sugar … Southcentral woke up with that quiet little snow that looks harmless until you try to stop at the next red light. 💅
A Winter Weather Advisory is covering Anchorage, Eagle River, and the Lower Matanuska Valley early this morning with 1 to 3 inches of additional snow possible and travel potentially very difficult, especially before sunrise. Light snow continues this morning with scattered snow showers lingering through the afternoon.

This isn’t a full-blown blizzard situation, but it is the kind of morning where visibility dips, tires slide, and impatience causes the real problems.
So pour the coffee, brush the snow off the hood, and remember Memaw’s golden rule of Alaska driving:
If the road looks shiny, assume it’s plotting against. A little patience and a light foot on the pedal will win every time.💖

Memaw’s Parting Words
Now listen here, darlin’.
Southcentral snow isn’t always dramatic. Sometimes it’s just a quiet little one to three-inch troublemaker that sneaks onto the pavement and turns your morning brake pedal into a suggestion.

So take it slow, leave early, and remember:
Arriving five minutes late beats starring in the Glenn Highway Ice Capades.
Drive alive from dawn to night. 💅
