Anchorage, AK – The American Cancer Society’s Making Strides Against Breast Cancer movement is underway, and the Anchorage community is coming together in powerful ways.

What’s New & What to Be Excited About

• Season Kick-Off: The local Anchorage group has officially kicked off the 2025 season. There was an enthusiastic community gathering (“Cocktails for a Cure”-style event) to launch things.Facebook

Why Get Involved

• This is more than a walk. It’s about community, hope, honoring survivors, supporting caregivers, and pushing forward research and resources to reduce breast cancer risk, detection delays, and treatment burdens.
• When you volunteer or fundraise, you’re helping with free support services for those going through treatment (lodging, transportation, emotional support) through the American Cancer Society. American Cancer Society
