Co-writer and actor Daryn Tufts brings extra charm to Stalking Santa, proving he can play an anxious intern, write a mockumentary, and still somehow be the same guy who teaches Utah how to save energy as “Thermwise.”

If you have ever wondered what would happen if someone investigated Santa Claus with the intensity of a UFO hunter who swears the government is hiding sleigh debris, then Stalking Santa is the holiday gift you never knew you wanted. William Shatner narrates the chaos with such dramatic authority that you will start to believe Santa might actually have a classified file somewhere in Washington.

🧑‍🔬 The Plot

Meet Dr. Lloyd Darrow, a dedicated “Santologist” who approaches Christmas legend the way a scientist might investigate the Bermuda Triangle. He gathers clues, examines evidence, interviews “witnesses,” and somehow keeps a straight face the entire time.

Backing him up is Clarence Onstott, played by co-writer Daryn Tufts, whose nervous energy and awkward charm make him the perfect sidekick in this hunt for holiday truth.
Hovering above the chaos is the smooth, authoritative voice of William Shatner, who narrates the investigation with the seriousness of a man reading the Constitution, even when the “evidence” involves cookie crumbs and dubious sleigh sightings.

🎭 The Vibe

The movie is styled like a mockumentary, which means everyone acts as if Santa-related conspiracies are the most important events in the world. The result is a deadpan holiday comedy that pokes gentle fun at both Christmas traditions and the people who think Bigfoot is living in their shed.
It is festive. It is ridiculous. It is surprisingly endearing.
